About ME

¡Hola!

I am Chanel and am so happy to be connecting with people on the same Latin-loving wave length as me. I started this blog for people who just love the Latin life-style, are traveling through Latin America or expats living abroad like me.

My love for Latin culture started as early as I can remember. Growing up in the southern tip of the Sunshine State (A.K.A Florida) I was exposed to the vibrant culture pretty much every where I turned. From the Cuban bistros serving the strongest coffee on Earth, to the actual street signs being printed in Spanish, I started to develop a strong curiosity for the culture.

Almost 3 years ago I found myself in a state of transition and eager to do something more with my life. I decided to take a vacation to the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Being there in a foreign country, listening to a language I didn’t speak, with people I didn’t know was the most at home I have ever felt. I returned to the USA 3 weeks later and knew I was destined to return to the alluring beaches of Central America.

I have now lived in “The Happiest Country in the World” for over two years and could not be more grateful for being surrounded by such a warm and colorful culture

I am here to build a community of people interested in Latin America, food, the Spanish language, Costa Rica, stories of an expat and all things travel.
